    I recently made a number of these.  This is the last one available at this time.
    End grain cutting boards are preferred by the Food Network, and professional chefs for several reasons:
    Knives stay sharp longer
    Wood fibers are "self healing"
    Higher resistance to bacteria
    This board measures 12" X 11.5" X 1.25" thick.
    Rubber feet are attached to the bottom with stainless steel screws which will not rust.  So your board will stay in place as you use it.
    This board is made from a combination of Walnut, Maple and Cherry hardwoods.  Many craftsmen do not make end grain cutting boards because of the additional time required to make them.  It is a multi step process, rather than just gluing some boards together.  (Not that edge grain boards are not nice.)
